Italian grading system
| 30 e lode | Is given for an excellent performance |
| 30-29 | Is given for a very good/above average performance |
| 28-27 | Is given for a good/above average performance |
| 26-24 | Is given for a satisfactory/slightly below average performance |
| 23-18 | Is given for a mediocre/just acceptable performance |
| < 18 | Insufficient performance |
In the ECTS system, international students receive a transcript from the host institution stating which course units have been successfully completed and how many ECTS credits they have earned. Students should be able to transfer these credits to their home institution on the basis of a prior agreement between the host and the home institutions.
