How to reach Cassino

Cassino is located half way between Rome and Naples. You can easily reach these two cities by train or by bus. The Italian transportation system is quite inexpensive. A round trip ticket to Rome by train costs around 10€. From Cassino you can easily reach the Tyrrhenian coast by bus or by train.

Cassino has mainly mild winters and rather hot summers. The rainfall is plenty during the fall months. Snow is a rare event, although between December and February fog and nightly frost are very frequent.

Cassino is a relatively small town. Its size allows easy access to almost anything on foot. There is, though, a public transportation system that helps students to move more rapidly from one university site to another. Moreover, public transport does join the nearby districts of the town, as well as with the Abbey of Montecassino. Connections with other towns in the provinces of Frosinone and Latina are assured by out of town buses whose terminal is situated in front of the train station.
