    Programma:
    Complementi sui circuiti lineari. Circuiti non lineari statici: teoremi di esistenza e unicità della soluzione, metodi di soluzione. Circuiti con amplificatori operazionali. Circuiti non lineari dinamici: equazione di stato, punti di equilibrio, stabilità, analisi di soluzioni periodiche; circuiti caotici. Applicazioni di laboratorio sui circuiti non lineari; Approssimazioni statiche e quasi statiche delle equazioni di Maxwell. Il passaggio dai campi ai circuiti: il problema del circuito equivalente. Modelli statici (elettrostatica, magnetostatica, conduzione stazionaria). Modelli quasi statici (diffusione delle cariche, correnti parassite). Circuiti a parametri distribuiti. Linee di trasmissione. Energia e forze.
    Simulazione numerica di applicazioni circuitali ed elettromagnetiche con Matlab, Spice e Comsol.
    Attività di laboratorio: realizzazione e caratterizzazione di circuiti.

    Valutazione:
    La verifica dell'apprendimento avviene attraverso una prova orale e la valutazione di un progetto.
    La prova orale è finalizzata a verificare il livello di approfondimento e consapevolezza raggiunto nello studio della materia. Tale prova inizia con la discussione di un elaborato prodotto dallo studente riguardante un progetto sviluppato in laboratorio. A seguire, la prova orale prevede tipicamente quattro domande, di cui due sulla teoria dei circuiti e due sulla teoria dei campi. La prova orale ha complessivamente una durata orientativa di circa 40 minuti e viene calendarizzata in base all’ordine di prenotazione.
    In alternativa, durante il semestre di erogazione del corso lo studente può chiedere di essere valutato attraverso tre prove in itinere, in ciascuna delle quali lo studente discuterà degli homework legati a simulazioni numeriche definite nel corso e successivamente sarà chiamato a rispondere ad una o due domande sulla parte teorica,

    Obiettivi:
    Il modulo si propone di introdurre lo studente alla teoria dei circuiti elettrici e all'elettromagnetismo in condizioni stazionarie e quasi-stazionarie. In particolare, la teoria dei circuiti elettrici sarà illustrata con riferimento alle reti lineari (resistive, in regime sinusoidale permanente e in condizioni dinamiche generali). L'elettromagnetismo in condizioni stazionarie e quasi-stazionarie, invece, fornirà gli elementi fondamentali che sono alla base dei circuiti elettrici e le nozioni necessarie per comprendere problemi complessi con un approccio a livello di sistema di tipo circuitale. Al termine del modulo gli allievi saranno in grado di (i) affrontare l'analisi di reti elettriche lineari, anche con l'ausilio di strumenti informatici e (ii) sapranno ricavare il modello circuitale equivalente di semplici dispositivi elettrici e magnetici, comprendendone le ipotesi di validita.

    Programma:
    Circuiti elettrici
    Definizione di circuito elettrico. Tensione, corrente e potenza elettrica. Bipoli. Leggi di Kirchhoff. Elementi di topologia delle reti. Bipoli equivalenti. Principali teoremi. Risoluzione di reti lineari in regime stazionario. Bipoli dinamici: condensatori e induttori. Analisi delle reti in regime sinusoidale. Potenze in regime sinusoidale. Risonanza. Il trasformatore ideale e gli induttori mutuamente accoppiati. Circuiti dinamici (analisi in transiente): circuiti dinamici del primo e del secondo ordine e metodi di soluzione nel dominio del tempo. Risposte canoniche. Trasformata di Laplace e sua applicazione alle reti lineari tempo-invarianti. Multipoli adinamici. Generatori pilotati. Amplificatori operazionali.

    Campi elettromagnetici
    Cenni di analisi vettoriale. Equazioni di Maxwell. I regimi stazionari e quasi stazionari. Elettrostatica: le leggi del campo e le relazioni costitutive. L'elettrostatica dei conduttori: capacità e capacità parziali. L'elettrostatica dei dielettrici. Conduzione stazionaria: le leggi del campo e le relazioni costitutive. Il concetto di F.e.m. e la legge del circuito semplice. Resistenza di un conduttore massiccio. Magnetostatica: le leggi del campo e le relazioni costitutive. Coefficienti di auto e mutua induzione. Ferromagnetismo, mezzi a permeabilita infinita, circuiti magnetici, elettromagneti e magneti permanenti. Magneto-quasi-statica: leggi del campo, effetto pelle e perdite per correnti parassite. Calcolo delle forze.

    Esercitazioni numeriche in laboratorio: utilizzo di strumenti software per la simulazione numerica di circuiti elettrici e per il calcolo numerico dei campi elettromagnetici.

    Valutazione:
    La prova scritta mira a verificare la capacità dello studente di impostare e risolvere correttamente, anche numericamente, dei problemi sull'analisi dei circuiti elettrici. La prova scritta consta, tipicamente, di tre esercizi numerici. La durata indicativa della prova è di 2 ore. La valutazione della prova scritta viene espressa su cinque livelli, individuati con le lettere da A (massimo) a E (insufficiente).

    La prova orale è finalizzata alla valutazione del livello di approfondimento e consapevolezza raggiunto nello studio della materia. La prova orale, della durata indicativa di 30-60 minuti, prevede almeno tre domande.

    Il voto finale viene definito sulla base della valutazione di entrambe le prove.

    La prova orale può essere sostenuta dopo il superamento della prova scritta ma non oltre il termine della medesima sessione d'esame.

    Indicativamente una prova orale è fissata entro una settimana dalla prova scritta.

    E' possibile sostenere la prova d'esame fino ad un massimo di quattro volte in un anno solare.

Antonello Tamburrino si è laureato in Ingegneria Elettronica con lode presso l'Università di Napoli “Federico II” nel 1992 ed ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Ingegneria Elettronica presso il Politecnico di Torino nel 1996.

Dal 1994 è in servizio presso l’Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale (Università di Cassino fino al 2011) inquadrato nel settore scientifico–disciplinare ING-IND/31 (Elettrotecnica) prima come Ricercatore (dal novembre 1994), poi come Professore Associato (dall'ottobre 2001) e, infine, come Professore Ordinario (dal dicembre 2006). Dal 2003 al 2013 è stato Professore Aggiunto presso il Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering della Michigan State University (East Lansing, USA). Nei periodi gennaio-maggio 2014, 2015 e 2016 è stato Professore presso la Michigan State University.

1.3 Algoritmi di inversione: metodi quantitativi con algoritmi iterativi e con algoritmi in real-time
1.4 Aspetti sperimentali: sonde e sistemi basati su Fluxset, Magneto-Resistenza gigante, imaging magneto-ottico, matrici di bobine tradizionali
1.5 Imaging combinato correnti indotte/termografia

2. Elettromagnetismo Computazionale ed applicato:
2.1 Plasmonica: Modelli numerici full-wave e 3D per l’interazione del campo elettromagnetico con array di nanoparticelle metalliche, incluso risonanze plasmoniche
2.1 Metodi veloci 3D nel dominio della frequenza: Gram-Schmidt - QR low rank approximations, Fast multipole method, pre-corrected FFT
2.2 Modelli numerici nel dominio della frequenza full-wave, 3D e a banda larga per il calcolo dell’interazione di un campo elettromagnetico con materiali lineari di varia natura
2.4 Modelli numerici di interconnessioni
2.5 Materiali non-lineari: metodi 3D per il calcolo del campo elettromagnetico nei superconduttori, metodi 3D per il calcolo del campo elettromagnetico nei materiali magnetici

E' co-autore di oltre 160 articoli pubblicati su riviste internazionali, in libri e in atti di conferenze internazionali, nonché co-editore di due libri.

E’ stato responsabile scientifico (PI per l’unità di ricerca di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale) dei seguenti progetti di ricerca:

E’ stato/è co-tutore di tesi di dottorato di ricerca e commissario per l’esame finale per il conseguimento del titolo di dottore di ricerca presso la Michigan State University.

E’ stato commissario per l’esame finale per il conseguimento del titolo di dottore di ricerca presso le università francesi Paris Sud e Paris Saclay.

E’ stato commissario nella commissione di valutazione per l’assegnazione di un posto da professore ordinario presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica dell’Università West Macedonia (Grecia) negli anni 2013 e 2015.

E’ il responsabile scientifico dell’Unità di Ricerca dei Ricercatori di Elettrotecnica dell’Università di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale.

E’ il responsabile scientifico del laboratorio di Calcolo Elettromagnetico e di Diagnostica Elettromagnetica Non Distruttiva dell’Università di Cassino.

E’ il Coordinatore del Dottorato di Ricerca in Ingegneria Elettrica e dell’Informazione presso l’Università degli Studi di Cassino dall’anno 2009.

E’ membro della Standing Committee dell’International Symposium on Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics (ISEM), dell’International Standing Committee del Workshops Electromagnetic Nondestructive Evaluation (E’NDE) e del comitato editoriale e scientifico di svariate conferenze internazionali, tra cui le conferenze Compumag, ISEM ed E’NDE.
E' stato co-Chair dell’edizione 2011 dell’International Symposium on Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics che si è tenuta a Napoli.
