    Optimal policy in design and management: element of mathematical modeling. The modellistic and the optimization approaches. The capital badgeting example. Generalities on programming problems. Classification of optimization problems. Linear programming: the simplex method, two-phase simplex method, duality, shadow prices. Optimization tecniques for generale nonlinear functions of two or more variables: searching for free and constrained extremes. Cases of studies. Lab activities: solving linear and nonlinear optimization problems with Matlab.

Degree in Mathematics cum laudem at the University of Lecce in 1998; she improved her knowledge in the field of Nonlinear Dynamics through advanced studies and research activities at both the University of Trento and the University of Lecce.

She had a grant INFM (National Institute of Matter Physics) in the field of Nonlinear Dynamics at the University of Trento, Faculty of Sciences (january 1999 – march 2001); she had a research grant in Mathematical-Physics at the University of Lecce, Faculty of Sciences (april 2001- september 2001); since 1 october 2001 up to 15 december 2009 she was assistant professor in Mathematical Physics at the University of Lecce, Faculty of Sciences. From 16 December 2009 up to 2 February 2020, she was assistant professor at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio.

Currently she is Associate Professor in Mathematical Physics (SSD MAT/07) at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio.

She qualified as Full Professor in Mathematical Physics (SSD MAT/07) through the Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale ASN2012 and ASN2016

She is member of the National Group for Mathemical Physics (GNFM-Indam) from 1999.

She is member of the European Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology (ESMTB).

She is referee for many Journals in the field of Applied Mathematics.

Research activity - that makes use of nonlinear dynamical systems and bifurcation theory - is mainly focussed on mathematical modelling in the following three areas: (i) biomedical models, with special regard to epidemics; (ii) environmental and ecological models, with special regards to population dynamics and sustainable management of protected areas; (iii) models with industrial applications, with special reference to pattern formation in alloy electrodeposition processes.
