- Aggregate Professor of Power Systems at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio.

Education:

- PhD in "Electrical and Information Engineering" (XVI Cycle).
- Master degree, cum laude, in Electrical Enginnering at the Università degli Studi di Cassino, Italy, with a thesis entitled: "On the management of transmission network in deregulated market".
- Previously qualified as electronic expert (60/60) at the ITIS of Cassino. (specialization AMBER).

IT skills:

- Expert in the use of DOS, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, NT, XP, Vista, Seven, Win 8, Win 10, Unix / Solaris, Linux operating systems, programs of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint), the PSCAD / EMTDC software packages , RSCAD, OpenDSS, Corel Draw, Autocad, 3dsmax, LaTEX and applications Maple and Matlab. - During his PhD, he has attended many seminars concerning several topics of Electrical Engineering.

- In 2004 he has successfully completed a project for the Department of Industrial Engineering of Cassino, concerning the 'Development of Object-Oriented methods for the analysis and control of radial and weakly-meshed distribution systems'.

- At the end of 2004, he won a competition to be an Assistant Professor of Electrical Power Systems at the Università degli Studi di Cassino.

- In April of 2005, he became an Assistant Professor of Electrical Power Systems at the Università degli Studi di Cassino.

He also participated in the drafting and updating of the official web site of ADDRESS, as well as participated in the organization of events for the dissemination of project ideas (especially the exhibits presented in 'ICT for sustainable home' on 16-17 November 2009 in Nice and 'Innovation Convention' of 5-6 December 2011 in Brussels).

- In 2009 he carried out a industrial research activities within the Department of Industrial Engineering, on behalf of the company COELMO srl for the development and the development of centralized control unit for micro-dispersed systems, falling within the project 'Development of micro-generators powered by hydrogen fuel cell technology', financed by the Region of Campania L. 598/94.

- In September and October 2010, he performed at the Lase laboratory of the Department of Industrial Engineering, for the testing and verification of a DAN + MCI equipment on behalf of the company Elettromeccanica Tironi Ltd., used for the test and calibration of Petersen coil in MV electrical distribution networks.

- From 2012 he takes part as secretary of the Commission for Education at the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Cassino.

- In 2015 he collaborated on a project with Schneider Electric for the development of a real-time simulator of an industrial plant.

- In 2016 he collaborated in the definition of the PRIN, entitled:

"Technological and structural innovations introduced by a contractual system based on virtual - Energy Subscriber Identity Module (v-ESIM) to promote competition in the energy and electric utility markets", with Prof. Mario Russo as Coordinator.

- In 2017 he collaborated on a project with Schneider Electric for the development of a soft real-time environment for the validation of SCADA systems. The next year, he taught a course on the environment developed for the Schneider's technicians for its application on the field.

- From 2018 he is in the Committee for Sustainable Development of his University (Comitato Ateneo per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile - CASe) and is the Referent for Energy at the University Networks for Sustainable Development (Reti di Ateneo per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile - RUS).

- In 2019 has collaborated in the organization of the Open Days for his University, with the participation of over 700 students.

- In the same year, he also collaborates in an alternating work-school initiative with the superior School 'G. Pellechia' of Cassino and his University, teaching a course on PLC for the control of Electrical Industrial Systems.

- Still, in the same year, he provides also a tutorial on Sustainability aspects at his University for the Sustainable Development Festival, promoted by ASviS and CASe.

- He participates in the accepted PRIN: "Study, development and prototyping of a novel compact hybrid powertrain for small/medium city cars, with multiple energy recovery", with prof. Gino Bella as Project Coordinated and prof. Mario Russo as Research Unit Manager.

- His research activity is related to electrical systems. His scientific interest was aimed at the following areas:

- A. Object-oriented methods, applied to state estimation in the distribution networks;

- B. Liberalization of electricity markets;

- C. Unit commitment;

- D. Voltage regulation in distribution networks in the presence of distributed generation;

- E. Modeling of the control structure of a micro-dispersed generation system;

- F. Representation of the distribution systems through a compact model based on Load Areas;

- G. Simulation of an industrial plant and its control structure, by real-time models and a hardware-in-the-loop PLC.

- The scientific activity was carried out in collaboration with researchers both in its sector to other sectors and has resulted in the production of twenty-seven scientific papers.

- He has worked at the Scientific Research of Relevant National Interest Program (PRIN) - Year 2005 (prot. 2005015592_005), entitled 'Support Models for the decisions of the Italian Electricity Market Operators and their impact on the security of the system'. As part of this collaboration issues were discussed related to:
'The participation of producers in an oligopolistic electricity market: role models, decision support, and impact simulation on' system.
