Eni launches the new edition of the Eni Award
Eni has launched the new edition of the Eni Award, an international benchmark in the field of innovation and scientific research. The award aims to promote better use of energy sources, foster science and technology applied to environmental protection, and enhance the value of new generations of researchers.
As in previous years, two prizes will be awarded to young researchers who have obtained a PhD from an Italian university with a doctoral thesis related to energy and environmental issues. The goal is to promote a zero-carbon future by decarbonising the energy system, preserving natural capital, and fostering efficient and sustainable access to energy, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2030).
The Young Researcher of the Year Award is intended for young PhD graduates born no earlier than 1993 who obtained their PhD from an Italian university in 2024 or 2025, with a thesis focused on scientific topics related to energy and the environment promoted by the Eni Award.
The prize consists of a personalized plaque and a monetary award of €25,000 for each of the two winners.
The Award Regulations, Application Form, and related attachments are available in English on the dedicated webpage. The deadline for applications is 14 November 2025.
