Admission exam

The admission examination consists of two tests: a pre-selection and an oral examination. The pre-selection involves the evaluation of the following elements:

  • curriculum vitae;

  • any publication with ISBN or ISSN (maximum of 1);

  • any other scientific qualifications (titles deemed relevant for the evaluation of the curriculum, which must include adequate certification of the grades obtained in all university examinations, including the final grade of the first- and second-level degree or of the single-cycle degree, or equivalent qualifications for foreign candidates);

  • research project;

  • a letter of recommendation from a tenured university professor.

The oral examination will assess the candidate’s aptitude for conducting research in one of the disciplinary fields of the PhD programme and their knowledge of the English language.

The oral examination may be held online upon the candidate’s request, provided there are adequate reasons, including the candidate’s residence outside the national borders. The chosen modality must be indicated in the application form.

For the Economics curriculum, the examination is conducted in English, while for the Management and Finance curriculum, it is conducted in Italian.

Candidates must indicate an email address in their application, to which communications regarding the evaluation of qualifications will be sent, as well as information on the modalities of the oral examination for those who have opted to take it online.

All information regarding the selection process is available in the dedicated section of the University website: LINK.
