The admission exam consists of two parts: a pre-selection and an oral examination.
The pre-selection is based on the evaluation of the following elements:
-
Curriculum vitae
-
Any publications (maximum of five)
-
Any other scientific qualifications (documents considered useful for curriculum evaluation, including—compulsorily—official certification of the grades obtained in all university exams throughout the entire academic career, including the final grade of the first- and second-level degree or the single-cycle degree, or equivalent qualifications for foreign candidates)
-
Research project
-
Letters of recommendation (minimum of 2, maximum of 4)
The oral examination aims to assess the candidate’s aptitude for conducting research in one of the scientific areas of the PhD program, as well as proficiency in the English language. The oral examination may be conducted online, upon the candidate’s request and with adequate justification, including residence in a foreign country. The chosen modality must be specified in the application form. It is also possible to take the oral examination in English, provided that the candidate explicitly requests this when submitting the application.
Candidates must indicate a valid e-mail address in their application form. This will be used to communicate the results of the pre-selection and, for those who have opted for the online oral examination, the technical details regarding its organization.
All information regarding the selection process is available on the University’s website, in the section dedicated to admission calls: LINK.
