Simone Caldaroni

Simone Caldaroni is a PhD student in Economics at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, where he also earned a bachelor's degree in Economics and a master's degree in Global Economy and Business.

His research focuses on public pension systems, analyzing them in terms of fairness, solvency, and their role in preventing poverty among the elderly.

As a visiting researcher at the Swedish Pension Agency (Pensionsmyndigheten), he collaborated with the research group led by Mr. Ole Settergren, gaining in-depth knowledge of the Swedish NDC system—widely regarded as one of the most efficient public pension models in the world.

His current research aims to lay the groundwork for a Single European Pension System.
