Riga Technical University (RTU) is a leading technical university and the oldest technical university in the Baltic states. Established in 1862, RTU boasts a long history of academic excellence and a strong commitment to innovation in engineering and technology.
RTU offers a wide range of study programmes, with over 50 STEM and humanities programmes taught in English, across five faculties, fromed through the mergeof the previous nine as a result of a recent consolidation process:
- Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering
 - Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology
 - Faculty of Computer Science, Information Technology and Energy
 - Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management
 - Institute of Architecture and Design
 
The university is a significant educational hub, currently home to approximately 13,300 students, including more than 4,000 international students from nearly 100 countries.
