Seminar Economic Growth and National Accounts, 28 February 2025, 14.00.
The seminar aims to teach students how analyze GDP growth. The seminar will cover the following issues:
1) Search and dowload of National Accounts data from international databases
2) Methodologies of growth decomposition: production approach, expenditure approach, sectoral distribution
3) Use of microsoft excel to calculte GDP growth and the contribution of the different components
4) Make graphs in excel
After the seminar, students will be asked to complete an assignment
Students completing the assignement will be granted 1 credit for other valuable activities
Registration to the seminar is restricted to 3d year (or higher) and graduating students
The total number of studetns admitted is 40.
If there will be places left, in a second call, second year students will be allowed to register
