From October 19 to 23, the UNICAS delegation took part in the EUt+ Plovdiv Week, hosted by the Technical University of Sofia on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Plovdiv campus.
The opening session was held in the historic setting of the museum complex of the Basilica of Philippopolis. Over the following days, international working groups focused their activities on key Alliance priorities: equality and inclusion, sustainability, entrepreneurship, work-based learning, research, communication, and the central role of the student body.

The milestones achieved in scientific research are particularly significant: €7 million in funding secured for collaborative projects developed within the EUt+ Alliance, and surpassing the threshold of 500 co-affiliated publications—a milestone to which UNICAS actively contributes with 119 publications indexed in Scopus as of October 2026.

The student voice remains a strategic pillar for the Alliance's development. During the sessions, the Student Board engaged directly with the Rectors' Board and formalized the appointment of the new UNICAS representative, Andrea Di Ruzza, who takes over from Antonio Rossi and joins Luigi Lomastro. Among the most notable operational milestones are the progress made in harmonizing academic curricula and the design of an integrated internship platform shared among the nine partner universities, aimed at boosting international mobility and bridging the gap with the labor market. Simultaneously, UNICAS is preparing to award the EUt+ Certificate, alongside the degree diploma, to the first cohort of students who have completed an integrated track within their degree programs.

Next stop: Riga, from November 23 to 27, for the Annual Review hosted by Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University). This will be an opportunity for Alliance members to take stock of the results achieved during the first three years of the project, looking ahead to the upcoming Erasmus+ call that could initiate the definitive consolidation of the unified EUt+ entity.
