The International Welcome Service is the fundamental interlocutor of the Degree Programmes, in particular those offered in English, both in the pre-admission and the admission steps of International Students in the Universitaly Ministerial portal for the purpose of issuing an entry visa for study.
Moreover, the Service takes care of relations with the Italian Consular Representations abroad and verifies the qualifications necessary to enroll upon students' arrival according to the current legislation.
Welcoming, supporting and informing the incoming Students and Researchers/Professors, the Service:
- checks the documents on arrival, provides information on residence/permit to stay, as well as health care, accommodation, codice fiscale and civil registration;
- keeps relations with the structures and bodies involved, such as the Prefecture, the Police Headquarters with its Immigration Office, the Agenzia delle Entrate, the Municipality of Cassino, the health facilities and the local headquarters of the institution for the right to study DiSCo Lazio;
- informs and supports refugees, holders or applicants for international protection, interested in studying at UNICAS;
- manages requests to entry Italy for Research/Work of non-EU Researchers/Professors both in the portal of the Ministry of Home Affairs and in relations with the local Prefecture;
- organizes, coordinates and participates in the University Commission which has the task of verifying the knowledge of the Italian language for access to international courses offered in Italian, as required by ministerial regulations.
The International Welcome Service also collaborates with the Degree Programmes to:
- coordinate the procedures relating to the recognition of foreign qualifications (course equivalence or shortening);
- follow up the delicate procedures of activation and stipulation of agreements aimed at issuing Double or Joint Degrees, also providing support to the parties involved in itinere during the frame of the Program.
Moreover, the International Welcome Service informs on the Italian language Course offered by UNICAS and cares of incoming mobilities of students, professors and administrative staff organised on the basis of International Collaboration programmes stipulated by UNICAS.
